Week 15 Pick'ems

Miami Dolphins 21, NY Jets 10

Here we have two back-up Quarterbacks; one who hasn’t been a starter since 2011 in Matt Moore and the other who has a name that I would use to sum up the New York Jets season, which is Petty…Bryce Petty for those who aren’t keeping tabs on New York (I don’t blame you). Expect a turnover heavy contest with one team who is able to run the ball better ultimately winning. Don’t let the mirage of Bilial Powell fool you that was against a Pop Warner worthy defence in San Francisco

Green Bay Packers 21, Chicago Bears 20

Surprising game here as the absence of Jay Cutler will not leave the Bears in a minus five turnover differential like in seasons past. Matt Barkley hasn’t been great but shown enough poise and accuracy to set up a nice career as a solid back up. This rivalry dates back as long as football itself so this inspires confidence in me to believe it will be close. Look for and Jordon Howard to put in a nice showing to tame the hot offense of the Packers but will fall short of gaining the upset against the wounded Aaron Rodgers.

Buffalo Bills 30, Cleveland Browns 20

Ok Ok Ok, if you listen to our podcast I stated the Browns would get their miraculous first victory of their season. But my heart did the thinking and not my head so therefore I retract my statement and give the Bills the win that keeps their playoff hopes alive. Lesean McCoy will prove to be too much for a dreadful Cleveland run defense. Look for Isaiah Crowell to bounce back and put up some respectable numbers but that will be the only positive from this game for the still winless Browns.

Baltimore Ravens 17, Philadelphia Eagles 13

Both birds will have their wings clipped by both defences in this game as Joe Flacco’s inconsistency and Carson Wentz’s rookie woes will be enough for even the biggest advocate for defence to cringe.

Kansas City Chiefs 20, Tennessee Titans 21.

This will be the biggest upset in the last decade as the Chiefs at home sport 20 wins in the last 23 contests. Playing in Kansas City gives the Chiefs an extremely intimidating advantage; however the physical pound and ground attack of the Titans will take advantage of a Chiefs defence who recently lost star linebacker Derrick Johnson.

Pittsburgh Steelers 17, Cincinnati Bengals 13

The Steelers have been average on the road and face a Bengals team that will still have bitter feelings due to their heart wrenching playoff loss a year ago. Look for a defensive slugfest as Big Ben comes off a disappointing game but will play well enough to steal another victory in Cincy.

New York Giants 21, Detroit Lions 23

The magic hasn’t worn off yet as the underwhelming Giants are 9-4…can you believe that? As are the Detroit Lions, pioneered by MVP candidate Matthew Stafford. Tough game to predict here as the Giants tough defense matches up well against an inconsistent run offense in Detroit. However, my gut tells me to keep believing in Stafford because when the 4th quarter rolls around its dangerous for opposing defences.

Minnesota Vikings 20, Indianapolis Colts 23

The most sacked Quarterback in the league (Andrew Luck) squares off against the best pressure defence in the NFL in Minnesota. Logic tells me it’ll be a long day for Luck but he has been battling injury and taking a mirage of hits all season so another comeback win in the end isn’t out of the question.

Houston Texans 24, Jacksonville Jaguars 17

The AFC South is a division comprised of pretenders and the Texans are one of those that fortunately play against an abysmal team in Jacksonville. Blake Bortles has been one of the biggest disappointments in recent memory which is why the turnover prone Quarterback will orchestrate the sixth straight loss that the Jaguars have suffered at the hands of the Texans. #Hownottoplayquarterback

Arizona Cardinals 21, New Orleans Saints 24

Talk about two huge disappointments on offense as the Winless Cardinals take on the unholy Saints. Drew Brees has thrown six interceptions without a touchdown in two straight weeks and Carson Palmer looks like a rusty statue in the pocket. Arizona’s top ranked defence will play well but New Orleans top ranked offense pioneers a late game touchdown pass to end Bree’s slump.

Atlanta Falcons 40 , San Francisco 49ers 23

Falcons will indeed drop another forty-point game against the hapless 49ers solely because of their ineptitude against then run that has crippled this team all season. Without Julio Jones the Falcons won’t have an issue throwing or running much like last week.

Oakland Raiders 28, San Diego Chargers 21

Last time these two played each other there was a whole lot of flair and even without Melvin Gordon there will be plenty of plays made through the air for both teams. Hard one to pick here but I’lll take the Raiders bouncing back from a tough loss in Kansas City.

New England Patriots 24, Denver Broncos 21

This matchup has been a flourishing new age rivalry between two quality teams. Tom Brady has a losing record against Denver and would love nothing more than to beat the team that spoiled a superbowl run a season ago. LeGarrette Blount has been playing possessed and will tee off against the NFL’s 29th ranked run defense.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 16, Dallas Cowboys 19

Tampa Bay is riding high off a five game winning streak and the Dak Prescott has looked more like a rookie in previous games. He will face a tough test in a Buccaneers side that has only surrendered an average of 12.8 points per game over their last five game span. But the Cowboys in JerryWorld are better so look for Dak to get back on track.

Washington Redskins 33, Carolina Panthers 23

The Panthers looked like the Super Bowl contender of last season when they brutalised Phillip Rivers last week but the Redskins have a chance to run the table and make the playoffs. The Skins have the matchups to take advantage of a lackluster Panthers secondary that has given up big plays through the air.
