Week 3 Pick ems:

Oakland Raiders 21, Tennessee Titans 13

These contests are usually quite interesting with both teams possessing young talent and exciting star signal callers. So far it has has been underwhelming with Oakland’s defense being on pace to set historically embarrassing numbers and the Titans looking down the barrel of an 0-2 start if not for late game heroics against the woeful Lions. Look for Oakland’s defense to finally piece some things together on the road.

Fantasy Alert* Delanie Walker (if healthy) to have a big game, Michael Crabtree taking control of young Titan defensive backs

Arizona Cardinals 34, Buffalo Bills 31

The Bills are in panic mode currently with an offense that is sputtering and a defense that is as disappointing as last season’s debacle. Current trends suggest its clear the Cardinals receivers will have a big day and Tyrod Taylor will need to play out of his skin to keep this one close.

Fantasy Alert* John Brown coming back to fantasy relevance, David Johnson leading all players in points.

Washington Redskins 17, New York Giants 24

The NFC East is back!....Well to the point where we can see these teams play solid football. The Giants defense is no joke with Johnathan Hankins and Damon ‘Snacks’ Harrison destroying opposing back fields in the first two weeks along with a newly motivated JPP. Washington seems outmatched in this one with the Giants trio really coming along as the best receiver group in the NFL. These games are usually close but there is too much talent on the Giants, staking a claim for the NFC East crown.

Fantasy Alert* Odell Beckham Jr. Vs Norman, (Click 'ODB' for fantasy a matchup from NFL.com), Sit Redskins running backs !! (you shouldn’t own one anyway).

Dolphins 28, Browns 13

Sorry Browns fans, much like every season……it’s just quite not your year. Significant injuries to multiple key positions such as Quarterback, receiver and center (amongst others) have truly hindered Cleveland’s chances early. There is no way Cody Kessler (who will become Cleveland's 26th starting quarterback since 1999) will be able to handle Miami’s pass rush.

Fantasy Alert* Add Miami’s defense if available, Isaiah Crowell will be in line for a heavy duty workload.

Ravens 24, Jaguars 34

The Jags are hard to read so far, after hanging tough with Green Bay in week 1 they were swiftly annihilated by the Chargers. If the Ravens sneak out a win here it’ll be the most unremarkable 3-0 start that’s been seen in recent memory. The Jaguars must get their ground game and Allen Robinson going early to get Bortles in a sufficient rhythm. The coaching matchup of John Harbaugh vs. Gus Bradley is lopsided currently with two wins going to Harbaugh, look for Bradley to get his first this Sunday.

Fantasy Alert* The re-emergence of Dennis Pitta and Allen Robinson

Packers 24, Lions 17

The Packers offense has still been a disappointment so far with Aaron Rodgers delivering back to back average performances. To the relief of Cheeseheads everywhere this ends now! What better way to get back on track against an inferior divisional opponent at home.

Fantasy Alert* Eddie Lacy continues solid trend at home against Detroit, Dwayne Washington gets at least 1 rushing touchdown

Bengals 14, Broncos 10

This game is this week’s football traditionalist wet dream with both teams hosting top tier defenses that will come to fruition. Trevor Siemian has his first bench for Paxton Lynch moment and sacks will be of great abundance.

Fantasy Alert* Jeremy Hill and CJ Anderson getting a ton of volume.

Panthers 23, Vikings 10

As expected the Panthers rolled over the 49ers last week, but it didn’t come easy as San Francisco came out swinging early. However, with Cam relishing the opportunity he once again performed at MVP like heights. Although Bradford looked sharp last week against Green Bay, Carolina is a different beast on defense and you have to think that the feared front seven for Carolina are licking their chops to the prospect of hunting down a slow Bradford.

Fantasy Alert* Vikings miss Peterson but force targets to Diggs, Greg Olsen to have a big day.

Buccaneers 17, Rams 20

Call it an upset I suppose but from what the Bucs put on display last week against the Cardinals it left major question marks throughout the entire team. Jameis Winston will not turn the ball over as much but expect the Rams defensive line to wreak havoc early and often.

Fantasy Alert* Todd Gurely is back!!!...for now, Charles Sims creates controversy and increases work load with Martin out with a hamstring.

Seahawks 34, 49ers 21

In order to keep this close, the 49ers must get Carlos Hyde some solid gains in order to keep the ball away from a Seattle offense looking for redemption after being embarrassed last week. Russell Wilson looked wounded and not himself as the offense as a whole laid an egg against LA. This isn’t likely again as Russell Wilson at 75% is a lot more appealing then Blaine Gabbert at 100%.

Fantasy Alert* Doug Baldwin/ Tyler Lockett having big days, Vance McDonald getting plenty of volume

Chiefs 17, Jets 20

The Jets weren’t challenged last week against Buffalo with the offense having some serious fire power. This team arguable holds the best trio of the receivers in the league and a rejuvenated Matt Forte is balancing that offense to elite levels. This should concern for Kansas City, especially their secondary which hasn’t lived up to last year’s standard yet.

Fantasy Alert* Matt Forte is relied on heavy in a defensive game, Spencer Ware starts over ‘doubtful’ Charles and continues to roll

Steelers 24, Eagles 21

The Eages are 2-0 and seem to be rolling with Carson Wentz looking like the reincarnation of Big Ben. However, the actual Big Ben out plays the young stud in a thrilling finish.

Fantasy Alert* Deangelo Williams continue to lead league in rushing (237 yards) and has one last big game before Bell comes back, Ryan Matthews will be relied on heavily has the game should be close throughout.

Cowboys 28, Bears 14

The Bears are in serious contention….For worst team in the league. After losing multiple key pieces on defense expect the Cowboys to control the game with that dominant offensive line. Cutler is losing more respect from teammates so don’t expect him to get any love soon.

Fantasy Alert* ZEKE ELLIOT (enough said), Kevin White will emerge from the Bears being down early

Saints 41, Falcons 35

Get your popcorn read, because this game will replicate an Arena football game. Both offenses are hot right now and the Saints are celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the Superdome, so I’ll give it to them in a total shoot out.

Fantasy Alert* Everyone
